1Introduction and Scope
G3ODisha Analytics Private Limited (“Company”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”) operates the ASKDiya portal. This Policy governs the processing of digital personal data of Students, Parents, Counsellors, and Institutes (“Data Principals”). We operate as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and are committed to processing your personal data in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner.
2Personal Data We Process
We process the following digital personal data provided by you or generated through your use of the portal:
- Identity & DemographicName, Date of Birth, Gender.
- Contact DataEmail, Mobile, Residential address.
- Academic & PerformanceMarksheets, Entrance Exam scores, Percentile scores, Ranks, and Educational history.
- Technical DataIP address, device identifiers, and platform usage logs.
3Lawful Basis and Purpose
In accordance with the DPDP Act, we process your personal data only for specified, lawful purposes based on your explicit consent or for "Certain Legitimate Uses":
Educational Recommendations: To analyze academic profiles and recommend suitable Institute courses.
Institutional Outreach: To provide Institutes with student data for potential admission inquiries.
Professional Counselling: To enable registered Counsellors to provide personalized guidance.
Platform Integrity: To prevent fraud and ensure the security of the ASKDiya ecosystem.
4Notice and Consent
Affirmative Consent: Processing is based on a clear, affirmative action by you. You will be provided with a notice in English (and other languages as prescribed) at the time of data collection.
Right to Withdraw: You may withdraw your consent at any time. Upon withdrawal, we will cease processing your data unless required by law, though this may limit your access to ASKDiya services.
Consent for Minors: For Data Principals under the age of 18, we obtain verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian and do not engage in processing that causes detrimental effects to the well-being of the child.
5Data Sharing and Third-Party Processors
We may engage Data Processors to handle data on our behalf under valid contracts. We share data with:
- Institutes: For admission-related targeting and communication.
- Counsellors: To facilitate professional advisory sessions.
- Regulatory Authorities: When mandated by the DPDP Act or other applicable Indian laws.
6Rights of the Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act, you are entitled to the following rights:
- Right to Information: To receive a summary of personal data being processed and the identities of parties with whom it is shared.
- Right to Correction and Erasure: To correct, complete, or update your data, or request its erasure when the purpose of processing is fulfilled.
- Right of Grievance Redressal: To register a grievance with the Company and, if unresolved, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Right to Nominate: To nominate an individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
7Duties of the Data Principal
As per the DPDP Act, you must not:
- Impersonate another person while providing data.
- Suppress any material information while providing personal data for any document/ID.
- Register false or frivolous grievances.
8Data Security and Breach Notification
We implement "Reasonable Security Safeguards" to prevent personal data breaches. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and the affected Data Principals as prescribed under the DPDP Act.
9Data Retention
We retain personal data only for the duration necessary to fulfill the specified purpose or as required by law. Once the purpose is served and retention is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes, the data will be deleted or anonymized.
